2024The slip-cast ceramic “beads” were made from 3D plastic printed forms, and can be removed to create different colour arrangements.

KNOB SHELF
2024
Using hanger bolts and threaded inserts housed in wooden knobs, the dowels running horizontally support the shelves and tighten in place using the knobs. The shelves have grooves cut on the underside so that they can rest over the dowel without hardware. The shelf is knockdown and flat-packable.

The surface pattern was designed digitally and cut out on a CNC machine. The recessions were then painted in by hand and filled with epoxy to create a smooth, flat table top.

I always dreamed of painting polkadots in my childhood bedroom, this is a rug about that.

HILDA SOFA/DAYBED

Inspired by vintage sofas and my grandma’s living room, this a-symmetrical solid wood sofa/daybed features detatchable back legs and back rest as well as the supporting legs. The seat is comprised of slats and can be disassembled to ship and store flat.

In collaboration with the Indigenous community in Thunder Bay, Ontario, eight Sheridan College furniture students set out to design and build furniture for the Indigenous Knowledge Centre of the Thunder Bay Waverly Library Branch. The Tikinagan Coffee Table and Stools draw from baby cradle boards (Tikinagans) as well as traditional Métis beadwork and medicinal plants.
Co-designed and built with Kayla Della-Nebbia.

Inspired by vernacular furniture forms and traditional chair joinery, I designed this solid white oak lounge chair to be as spacious and comfortable as possible. Seat and back are hand-carved and can be disassembled from the base.

2022Designed as a commercial furniture line for an Ontario-based furniture company, this series is inspired by vernacular furniture and lean-to architecture. Intented for batch production using a 5-axis CNC.

DANDELION LAMP
2021The Dandelion Lamp was designed using a slicing software allowing all of its 28 parts to be assembled using interlocking joints. No glue necessary. It was cut on the CNC machine from a single sheet of plywood and is completely flat-packable.

THE HEART CHAIR
20211:4 scale model co-designed with David Cobus for the Kengo Kuma & Higashikawa Kagu Design Competition.
The Heart Chair is a sturdy and playful form able to receive the wear and patina that a child’s school life imparts. The back rest is a blank canvas, an opportunity for students to design and personalize their very first chair.The hope is that the chair will follow each individual throughout their lives and be passed down for generations to come.
The Heart Chair can be disassembled into 6 parts including a seat, back rest, legs attached to rails with sliding dovetails, and 2 wedges. No further hard-ware or fasteners are necessary for assembly.
